Very smart move by the Giants front office in bringing back a big blue veteran. After being cut by the team earlier this year, William Beatty signed a 1-year deal this afternoon for this upcoming season. The offensive line is notorious for never being outstanding for the Giants, and by the looks of the preseason I think history is set to repeat itself. Although by bringing back a vet like Beatty, it will bring another asset to the table who was once was a starter. Give it a week or two of Marshall Newhouse starting at right tackle and making every one of us fans depressed and I guarantee Beatty chants will begin. He has the potential to be an impact player, if injuries didn't derail his career the question of him starting for the Giants would not even be a thing. His contract has $1.1M guaranteed so we are not paying him a lot at all. To be honest, this is a pretty low risk-high reward acquisition. At his worst, he will get injured again and waste all of our hopes and time. At his best, Beatty will be a key clog in the offensive unit and help guide them towards the playoffs. Only time will tell if he'll do work, but all I need to say is ANYBODY ELSE BUT MARSHALL NEWHOUSE. By Bob
