Victor Cruz will Play in Saturday's Preseason Game

Today after practice, Victor Cruz announced he will be playing in Saturday's game against the Jets. This will mark the first time in what seems like forever that Cruz will strap on the pads and take the field. I know its just preseason, but this is exciting stuff for a guy that's been rehabbing for nearly two years. I'm happy for Cruz, he's worked his ass off to get back on the field to prove himself once again. Why am I surprised though, this mans whole life he's been overcoming nay sayers and critics. Name another football player from UMass that is in the NFL, I'll let you get back to me on that one. What I'm getting at here is that Victor Cruz, regardless of his impact on the field, is a straight up inspiration. Most people would've quit a long time ago, but he knew he was going to come back, while most people counted him out. I had my doubts as well to be honest, I never thought Cruz would be back in Giants blue at some points along the way. But, here he is, playing Saturday in a preseason game. Let's hope he can stay healthy from now on and can have a positive impact on the offense this year.
