By DjackJimmy Graham will be in a different uniform next season. The Seattle Seahawks are not expected to resign the tight end that they traded for back in 2015. Where does Jimmy Graham go now coming off back to back pro bowl selections? He’s 32 so it’s going to be the final act of his potential hall of fame career.
The Jimmy Graham project was a failure in Seattle. When they traded for him he was the best tight end in the league besides Gronk. He was supposed to be Russell Wilson’s go to guy and be a total difference maker for that Seattle offense. Well, that didn’t happen. His first season him and Wilson had 0 chemistry. Then, Graham became a reliable red zone threat, but that’s about it. In this past season he posted his career worst yards per reception. Still was a very productive player just not by the standards of the type of player he was when they traded for him. Still, Graham is a premier tight end that will help any team that needs a red zone threat. That’s a hot commodity in the NFL right now, so there’s definitely going to be plenty of interested teams. Whether that’s a possible reunion in New Orleans, or a new home in Green Bay or Denver, who really knows. All I know is Jimmy Graham will be playing somewhere next year and I’ll grab him as a late round fantasy sleeper. Guy racks up TD’s, that’s all you need out of a fantasy tight end. If he could stay a little healthier it’d be nice, but beggars can’t be choosers.
