Giants fans I do not think any of us are surprised with the announcement by Ben McAdoo today. Paul Perkins has been named as the 2017-2018 starting running back and I am hyped as fuck. This kid knows how to run and showed flashes of being a capable starting running back in this league. Coach McAdoo stated while on air on WFAN Monday morning " Paul Perkins is going to be our starter out there on first and second down, and we've added some competition in the room in a variety of ways," McAdoo said. "Shaun Draughn, Shane Vereen is coming back, we drafted Wayne Gallman , so it's going to be interesting to see how the running back room shakes out."

Although I am not a fan of journeyman Shaun Draughn joining the squad since he's washed at his point, i reallly like the Perkins -Vereen combo. With Perkins doing most of the running and Vereen catching balls all over the field, it just brings another threat to our already stacked offends. I do not know much about Gallman, so it will be interesting to see his role and if he pans out to be relevant. Throw in the slight chance we actually steal Blount away from New England and well low key have a nice running game. I am already too hyped for this season, and it's looking bright for the New York Football Giants.
