By DjackPro Bowl Receiver Josh Gordon, who was 22 years old when he broke onto the scene as a star, has once again been denied a return into the NFL. Josh Gordon hasn't played a full season since that amazing 2013 season. It's now 2017, Gordon is now 26 years old, and with this latest denial it's probably time to give up on this guys return to the league. In 2014 he came back for the last 5 weeks of the season after missing the first 12 due to a suspension for smoking weed. Then, on the plane ride home from his final game of the season he had an alcoholic beverage. The next morning he was drug tested and once again suspended for violating the NFL's drug policy since he's supposed to be completely sober once he enters the drug program. Now, he's been suspended indefinitely ever since, and will continue to be.
Gordon has no one to blame but himself. This man must've failed at least 5-10 drug tests to even get himself into this position to begin with, so at what point is he ever going to get it if he just continued to keep failing. This is such a sad case, wasted talent to the maximum. Gordon put up insane numbers with the Browns in 2013, who was even throwing him the ball, and he still managed to rack up 1,646 yards and 9 touchdowns. This man averaged almost 20 yards per reception, that's big boy shit. Such a shame that a special talent like this went to waste for something so stupid. Browns were ready to move on anyway, they drafted Corey Coleman, and they just recently signed Kenny Brit. They obviously weren't relying on Josh Gordon being availiable to them, even the Browns aren't that stupid. I'm sure they would've loved his addition to the offense however, dude is an unreal talent there's no denying that. I would've liked nothing more than to see Josh Gordon back on the gridiron, but if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. Gordon had a million chances and continued to prove his incompetence when it comes to following the rules. Now, he has to suffer for his sins. Then, when he finally retires in a couple years the NFL will take marijuana off the banned substance list and his career will have been ruined for nothing.
