5/17/2017 LeGarrette Blount Signs with Philadelphia Eagles as They Continue to Revamp Their RosterRead NowBy DjackLeGarrette Blount, has finally found a home this offseason with the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles signed the 30 year old veteran running back to a 1 year deal worth close to $3 million. This is a huge addition to a backfield that needed help and consistency at the position. The addition of LeGarrette Blount will do just that, he can pass block for Wentz, he's basically an everydown back, and short yardage situations there are few better than Blount. This is a huge acquisition for a team that desperately needed help at this position since Ryan Matthews was a total bust. He'll end up being cut as a result of this acquisition.
Philadelphia has bolstered their offense quite a bit this offseason. Adding a pair of offensive lineman, a pair of receivers, and a new pair of running backs with Blount and Donnel Pumphrey, who they acquired in the draft. The Philly offense should be greatly improved as long as Wentz doesn't regress. The moves they have made have to lead you to believe the Eagles are trying to win right now and believe Wentz is ready to do so. Honestly, as a Giants fan I'm real nervous right now. Eagles were supposed to be the bad team in the division this year that we could get some easy wins against. Now, they might be competing for the division title if Wentz continues to progress as a QB. The Eagles defense was already very good last year with the additions of Chris Long, Patrick Robinson, Derek Barnett, and Timmy Jernigan they've only gotten better. The entire offensive side of the ball looks completely different except for like the 5 good pieces they already had. Eagles quietly became the real deal this offseason and everyone in the NFC needs to be put on notice that this Eagles team is a totally different team than last year.
