By DjackThe Jets early season woes continue as they lost to the Seattle Seahawks today 27-17. The game was very winnable if they Jets offense just could've protected the ball better and could've actually moved the ball down the field effectively. They did play a defense that has been consistently one of the best in the NFL over the past 5 year so I guess you couldn't expect this Jets offense to light them up, but I mean the Rams found a way to beat Seattle so no excuses. I know the Jets have had a tough schedule to start the season, but if you can't beat the good teams that are actually going to be in the playoffs, your team shouldn't be in the playoffs, it's that simple. The Jets loss today didn't surprise me whatsoever because the Seahawks are one of the best teams in the NFL, Russell Wilson was supposedly hurt, he didn't look it at all as he torched the Jets secondary with ease. Wilson threw for over 300 yards, he completed 23-32 of his passes, and he threw for 3 touchdowns. On the other sideline, the Jets had Ryan Fitzpatrick, who was looking to bounce back from a 6 interception performance. Well, he wouldn't bounce back today, he threw another 3 costly interceptions in the second half of today's game that would ultimately cost them the game. They were down by 7 and driving when Fitzpatrick threw an interception to Richard Sherman who read the throw like a book. This shifted all the momentum to Seattle, they would score off that turnover, and that ultimately put the nail in the coffin. After that the Jets looked just like they did last week against the Chiefs, what I mean by that is Fitzpatrick just threw recklessly until he was picked off again and again. That's when the Geno Smith chants began, there wasn't many fans still left in the stadium at this point, but the few fans that sticked around were calling for the guy that was originally supposed to start over Ryan Fitzpatrick until he got punched in the face last season. Geno Smith is not the answer Jets fans, this year is a waste, I'm sorry that you have to hear that, but honestly it shouldn't come as a surprise because every season you've had since Super Bowl 3 has been a waste. You need to find a quarterback if you want to be a competitive team, you have the defense and the weapons on the outside, all you need now is the field general. Too bad that's the hardest position to find in football, I wouldn't count on Christian Hackenberg to be your savior either, so don't get your hopes up. Jets move to 1-3 on the season, in other words the Jets have come to the point where their season is dead. #JetCrash
