By DjackWhat a day to bleed blue baby. Helluva win against our arch nemesis the Dallas Cowboys, more importantly we clinched our first winning season since 2012. It's been awhile since the Giants were a good football team so this feeling has become a little foreign to me. Doesn't take long to remember how good it really feels though, proving everyone wrong, and stepping up when the moment gets bigger is what the G-men are all about.
Giants looked broken, battered, and beaten going into this huge matchup. We just got exposed by Pittsburgh, JPP went down after finally getting back to 100%, and it looked like things were headed for the gutters. Next man up was key and the Giants defense rallied together on Sunday night football to win us our biggest game in over 3 years. Romeo Okwara stepped in for JPP, boy did that kid live up to the moment, he seized the opportunity, and played the game of his life. He earned defensive player of the game honors in a game dominated by defense, so clearly he was a huge factor in the win. Anyone still questioning the money we spent on the defense, don't, because they're clearly championship caliber. Cowboys have one of the best offenses in the league, we held them to 7 points, which is about 20 points below their season average, and we held them to 100 yards less than their season average. Safe to say we shut them down. Jenkins kept Dez quiet all night, the one ball he did catch Jenkins knocked out for a fumble immediately after. Dak looked pedestrian and everyone's beginning to call for Romo. It's honestly embarrassing that these Dallas fans have no loyalty towards Romo and the second Dak fucks up they call for Tony back. I'm sure Jerry Jones loves how things are unfolding right now since he's publicly stated that he wants Tony to be apart of their championship run. Forget the Cowboys though, the Giants have officially solidified that they're back to football relevancy with this win. 7-9, 6-10, and 6-10 the last three seasons were brutal, especially since we lost so many games by blowing the lead late in the 4th. Now, we're winning those games because we can finally make stops on defense. The offense might be completely out of sync and needs to make major adjustments if we want to be a legit Super Bowl contender, but we have big play Odell Beckham who can score in the blink of an eye. Giants have momentum, confidence, and a championship caliber defense, I can see us locking up the top wildcard spot with wins in the next two weeks. Also, Dallas better not get lackadaisical and lose two of three because the Giants can still snag that NFC East crown. Oh and by the way, Zeke Elliot talking all that trash on Instagram to Sterling Shepard, keep your mouth shut youngin because We Dem Boyz.
