Reports are saying there's a good possibility that the Giants 3rd down running back, Shane Vereen, could be back for the biggest game of the year. Getting back Vereen for the Dallas game in two weeks would be a huge addition to a running back group that has struggled mightily this season. He was leading the running back group in rushing yards and receiving yards before going down, clearly he's a difference maker in this offense, and an extra playmaker you love to have available. Having him on third down out of the backfield receiving, is just another weapon Eli Manning can go to since Vereen is one of the best receiving halfbacks in the league. Dallas is the cream of the crop, I want all of our deadliest weapons at disposal for this war, I know we can't just throw Vereen back into the fire, obviously his touches will be limited, but having him over not having him a nice addition. I was already confident going into this game, Vereen coming back only makes my confidence grow. More importantly, Vereen is coming back for the playoff stretch, so it might take him a couple weeks to assimilate to the offense again, but he'll definitely be a factor in the Giants playoff push. Always encouraging to get good news while you're team is also on a winning streak, seems like everything is starting to fall into place, the perfect storm seems to be brewing for the G-Men.
