After an incredible performance this week from Eli Manning, in which he threw for 368 yards while completing 78% of his passes, he also passed Drew Bledsoe for tenth all time in passing yards. Eli yet another impressive feat to an already impressive career. Eli Manning has had some bad fucking luck man, that is what hurt's his reputation because everyone killed him the years he threw over 20 interceptions even though half those were deflected of his receivers hands that couldn't catch the ball. He's had some bad receivers too and made them all have career years with him, Hakeem Nicks, Amani Toomer, Rueben Randle, Mario Manningham, and Steve Smith(Not the good one) all had the best years of their career with Eli Manning throwing them the ball. After they left Manning, they all had very short tenures with their future teams due to their lack of talent, so respect Manning for the great quarterback he is, can't rely on the stats to tell you the whole truth with him. No one throws a deep ball like Eli, I think that's my favorite part about his game, he's always been able to throw the ball deep down the field with elite accuracy since his early days. Has he had his Eli moments where u just shake your head and have no idea what he was thinking, YES, but has he won two Superbowl MVP's being the only guy to beat the best quarterback in the NFL in the big game, YES. With every quarterback you're always going to have your up and downs, but very few quarterbacks will bring your city one championship let alone two, and counting. I love Eli, easily my favorite player of all time, so I understand if you think I'm being biased, so now I'm going to just spit a bunch of statistical facts that make up his Hall of Fame resume, and if at the end you still don't think he is HOF worthy, I feel bad for your future or current children.
  • 2x Superbowl Champion/Superbowl MVP
  • 10th all time in passing yards
  • 10th all time in passes completed
  • 8th all time in passing touchdowns
  • 9th all time in fourth quarter comebacks
  • After next week 100 career wins
  • 4 time pro bowler in a QB league
  • 8-3 in playoffs with 17 TD's and 8 picks
If you can read those accolades and tell me he doesn't deserve a spot in the hall of fame, you my friend are a Giants hater. If Eli doesn't deserve to get into the Hall with those stats than neither does Jim Kelly, Troy Aikman, Johnny Unitas, Ben Roethlisberger, Terry Bradshaw, Dan Fouts, and even Joe Montana. You'll call me crazy for listing him with those names yet he has better numbers in all those categories than all of those guys, I'm not saying he's better because I don't believe stats tell the whole truth, but I definitley think he deserves a seat at the lunch table in Canton with those guys. His career is still hopefully far from over, he's 36 years old but he's been very healthy throughout his career, and his arm still looks like it has a lot of life in it seeing the way he zings that ball around. Just a few more years to pad his already HOF stats, and maybe just maybe pick up another one of those Lombardi trophy's before he rides off into the sunset. Eli has been nothing but a Hall of Fame caliber player and teammate his entire career, if you don't believe so I'd love to know your reasoning as to why, actually no I wouldn't because you're if that's the case you're a dumbass. I believe the voters will do right by Eli and make him a first ballot Hall of Famer like he deserves to be.

At this point he would have to try harder to " not get in" than to get in. There are always people that don't know football and just like the flash. I know people that were putting RG3 in after his first season and then they jumped on the Andrew Luck bandwagon. Has anyone ever won two Super Bowls and not gotten in?

Only QB to win two Superbowls and not get in is Jim Plunkett of the LA Raiders
