Eli Apple to Start week 1

It seems that with a lot of depth at the corner position the Giants are going to fidget around with who plays where. Steve Spagnuolo was playing DRC (Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie) at the slot corner position at practice Monday. Eli Apple, showed that he could potentially be more of a shut down guy on the outside than DRC. He did a good job of covering Decker in the last preseason game so I'm confident in his ability. Our secondary should be a bunch of ball Hawks with guys like DRC, Janoris Jenkins, and Darian Thompson, so it's nice to have a guy that can just lock up and take a reciever out of the game. I'm excited to watch Apple prove that he was worth the 10th Overall pick in the draft, he's going to be tested a lot early so I hope he's ready.
