By DjackI'm in a twelve team PPR league, with a snake draft, and $130 buy in. First place gets $1200, second place gets $360, so I look at fantasy football as a good investment because I'll be turning $130 into $1200 in just 4 months time. People always say the win isn't guaranteed, but when it comes to fantasy football with me, the win is always guaranteed. The draft was today, I have to say this is definitely one of my better drafts ever. I'm usually not a very good drafter, I usually pick all the old washed up guys who never produce as much as they did in previous year, and I build my team off signing and releasing players weekly through free agency. I'm all about the match ups, not about the names. So, here's my squad aka Gimme the Loot
QB: Eli Manning, Round 6 I Picked my guy Eli to lead my team, he's improved every year under MaCadoo and I don't expect for that to change. I said he's my dark horse to win MVP so he's my sleeper top 5 fantasy QB this year. RB1: Todd Gurley, Round 1 Pick 3 Everyone in the draft room killed me for this pick, everyone was amazed I didn't take Julio instead. AB and Odell were already off the board or I would've picked one of them obviously. I looked at the RB's this year and there's is not many promising ones. I always like to get good running backs early because they're hard to come by, especially this year. RB2: Doug Martin, Round 3 I wasn't thrilled with this pick, the only reason being I feel like I got him way too early. In this years draft though you had to get running backs early, so I'm sure I won't hate myself when everyone else's team is struggling due to lack of point production from that position. WR1: Amari Copper, Round 2 A top 15 receiver this year no doubt in my mind. Derek Carr, is really turning himself into a gun slinging stud, Amari Copper with reek the benefits of that. If he can get his TD's up from last year, his fantasy points will sky rocket. He did well in receptions and yards, mind you that was only his rookie season. This kid isn't even close to his ceiling yet. WR2: Doug Baldwin, Round 4 Came out of nowhere last year and put up HUGE numbers, I expect him to do the same this year. He's the only receiver that Russell Wilson really has to throw to, I expect TD's to decrease a little bit since Jimmy Graham will be back, but still I expect another big year from Baldwin. TE: Tyler Effiert, Round 5 Fucked up big time with this pick, I completely forgot he was out 4-6 weeks to start the season. I drafted him quite early so I definitely choked, once he comes back and continues to be the best tight end in the league besides Gronk I won't care anymore. Until his return week 4, I have Richard Rodgers... FLEX: Allen Hurns, Round 8 Hyped as fuck when he fell to me, what a sleeper this kid is, I got him very late and his production last year was unreal for a first year receiver. I expect him to get more targets this year, especially with the attention of the defense being with Allen Robinson and Julius Thomas. Allen Hurns is going to make me a very happy fantasy owner this year. K: Stephen Gostkowski, Round 12 I get him every year, Mr.consistency, the Patriots score a lot and get into field goal range a lot, Gostkowski doesn't miss a lot, no brainer pick. DEF: Cardinals, Round 7 If not the best defense in the league, they're the most dynamic. They'll force a shit ton of turnovers and will get after the quarterback. Two things that are going to boost your defenses point total up, that's why I went with this rowdy bunch. The secondary is a no fly zone and the defensive line has gotten much better with Chandler Jones coming to town. Bench: WR: Kevin White, Round 9 Explosive wide receiver in an offense that's going to be throwing the ball around a lot. A lot of people forget he was a very highly touted draftee before getting injured before the start of last season. WR: Mike Wallace, Round 14 May have gotten a major steal here, a lot of people think Wallace is done but seem to forget he had no one passing him the ball last season. With Joe Flacco as his QB, I think Wallace will rejuvenate his career this year. RB: Jay Ajayi, Round 11 Have no idea who this guy is, but he was ranked like 69 out of everyone and fell so far so I decided to jump all over it, got nothing to lose with the pick. I'm always looking for that sleeper. QB: Jameis Winston, Round 10 Strictly trade bait, he's going to have a great season so someone will overpay me at some point for him. WR: Will Fuller, Round 13 I think a lot of people are sleeping on the Texans offense and Brock Osweiler. They could be very explosive and if they are, I have my insurance safety pick by grabbing Will Fuller who should be getting a lot of playing time with them. DEF: Giants, Round 15 At this point in draft no one was left, so I just picked my Giants defense in case they really turn it around this year with all those big signings.
