By MukThis coming Sunday, Brock Osweiler will make his return to Denver, as the 4-2 Texans take on the 4-2 Broncos in a very important AFC matchup. However, that is not the story line of the game; Brock Osweiler was drafted by the Broncos back in 2012, and spent the first 4 seasons of his career in Denver, helping them win a Super Bowl last season when he filled in for an injured Peyton Manning, but he shocked the organization when he left them for more money in Houston. The Broncos remember that, and they remember that well. Broncos Linebacker and defensive star, Brandon Marshall, said Monday that "It's Brock. We know Brock. He came from here. And we want to kill him. That's just what we want to do."
Marshall did add that he is happy Brock got paid, but that still doesn't change the message that the defense is looking to send. Denver's D will look to continue its dominance and bounce back from last week's rough loss to the Chargers, with Trevor Siemian returning to the starting lineup. This game will be much more about Denver's D and how they control Lamar Miller and D-Hop, while sticking it to Brock in the process. I expect the Broncos to pull out this victory come Sunday, but if they drop this one, the Broncos could be exposed as a team with serious struggles.
