By BobAfter all the drama this young buck caused to contract issues, he is not even suiting up week one. Bosa is dealing with a minor hamstring injury and the Chargers want to play it safe so that they number three overall pick wasnt a waste. The Chargers GM Tom Telesco said regarding his future pass rusher saying "It is a minor hamstring but our goal is to make sure it doesn't turn into something long term. But I wouldn't say we're optimistic for this week but we've been preparing other players to play since July 29th, so that doesn't change. Now I know Joey's desire to play is very, very high but we need to be smart about it." Bosa is apparently upset over this and i cannot blame him, i would be pissed to if i missed my first NFL game after barely even practicing. Although, hopefully this is not foreshadowing about his future career. If he is getting hammy injuries doing basic routine drills, what happens when he is playing four quarters against absolute monsters like him every single week. The Chargers are going to need him back as soon as possible, their pass rush is atrocious and he is probably the only bright spot they have for the future on the d-line. Sitting him is definitely the right move here, this guy has such talent as he displayed at Ohio State, so hopefully he can transition to the NFL and be healthy in no time.
