The Betting BasicsĀ

My freshmen year in college i was introduced to sports betting. Its a good way to make money (if you know sports) without having to do any work besides placing bets. FYI sports betting is only legal in Nevada, Oregon, Delaware and Montana. So if you're going to do it make sure you're in one of those states. When placing bets, its important to look at the odds, or in other words the team thats the favorite to win the game. For example if you have the patriots going against the browns, the pats would be big favorites. it would look something like pats -600 and browns +500. This means you would have to bet 60 on the pats to make 10 dollars or if you bet 10 on the browns you would make 50 dollars. From experience, the best way to make some bang for your buck is through parlays. A parlay is when you pick multiple teams to win and if they all win you'll walk away with some good money. but lets say i did a 3 team parlay and one of my teams lose.. the parlay would miss and you would lose the money you put up. These are just some betting basics for beginners and ill talk more about different things in future blogs. Remember although betting is fun it can be a problem for many people so always remember two things. Never get carried away and never gamble with money you don't have.
