Yaisel Puig won't be Traded and will stay with the Dodgers

Yaisel Puig, was put on trade waivers and was claimed by a mystery team on Tuesday. Well, the teams negotiated but a deal was never made for several reasons. One, the Dodgers are in a very competitive race to get into the playoffs whether that is by way of winning the division or securing a wildcard spot. If the mystery team was a contender it's obvious as to why they wouldn't want to trade Puig to them and help the the competition. The Dodgers are stacked with outfielders so I doubt Puig will be on the roster next season, they'll trade him over offseason when they have more options. With rosters expanding, expect for Puig to be called up very soon and maybe help contribute to some Doders postseason success. If he was to be successful in the limited playing time he would be getting it could up his trade value and then the Dodgers would look like real geniuses. I think this was the best move, keep him for now deal him later if necessary, who knows maybe Puig will get back to his old ways and will get a full time starter in LA. Crazier things have happened.
