By DjackGoing into the all-star break the San Francisco Giants looked poised to make another run for a World Series title. A lot of people had them as the favorite at the time because not only did they have the best record in the league, it was also an even year, and they have won the last three even year World Series. Well, it looks like that even year run will come to an end this season, the Giants are just one game up in the wildcard, and are free falling fast. Somebody call Tom Petty maybe he can save the Giants season, I doubt it though, this team just looks like they're trying to lose games. They're 20-35 since the all-star break, they don't deserve to make the playoffs. That's an atrocious record and if they were somehow able to sneak into the playoffs they'd be embarrassed in the wildcard game, and just be taking a spot from a team that deserves to make it. I'm sure the wildcard teams will be the Mets and the Cardinals who are both right on the Giants tail, those are two teams I'd rather see duke it out for the final playoff spot, not this bum team that has barely been able to win a series since the all-star break. All the Giants best players Posey, Crawford, Pagan, and Span are all hitting below .200 since the all-star break, that's a huge reason why the Giants suck now, they can't hit the broadside of a barn. Every year the MLB needs one of these great collapse stories, you're just hoping that it's never one of your teams, well no one has to worry about that this year because the San Francisco Giants have volunteered themselves this time around. Tom Petty take us away... |
