By DjackAs most of you know the Red Sox clinched the AL East division title last night. That's the last thing us Yankee fans wanted to happen in our stadium, but we had no say in the decision because the Blue Jays lost, automatically giving the Red Sox the clinch before the Yankee game was even over. The Red Sox were up three runs going into the bottom of the ninth, they were all set to dance and celebrate all over our field as they win the division title. The Yankees had different plans though, Craig Kimbrel loaded the bases, and walked in a run before getting pulled from the game. Some bum came into replace him, what a mistake that was, he got the first batter Starlin Castro out, but up came Marky Mark Teixeira whose legendary career will be coming to an end in a few days. Grand Slam, Mark Teixeira hits a walk off grand slam to beat the Red Sox. This was such a satisfying feeling, not only did we beat the Red Sox, but we got to celebrate on the field as they had to walk into the clubhouse before they could start their festivities. Of course I'd love to be in the Red Sox position instead, this is a good consolation prize though. Also, this was Mark Teixeira's only career walk off home run during the regular season, so he made sure he crossed that off his MLB bucket list before he called it quits. This will probably be the last good moment of the season so I'm really cherishing it while I can because come October I'll be depressed watching all these teams play for the World Series as my Yankees are home on the couch watching with me. Come next season though, watch out Red Sox, watch out AL East, the new generation of Yankees are here to kick some ass.
