by DjackVia D'Allan Brixx Youtube blog Your 2020 NBA Champions, the Los Angeles Lakers. Yes, you heard it here first folks the Lakers will be atop the NBA once again, in just a few short seasons. Let me break this down before y'all go haywire and call me a buffoon. We have the best young core in the league between Julius Randle, D'Angelo Russell, Larry Nance Jr., Ivica Zubac, Jordan Clarkson, and Brandon Ingram. It takes young stars like these guys, about 3 to 4 years in the league to catch up with the other guys and really get a feel for the new pace and level of play in the NBA. Three to four years from now is the perfect time to have a team on the rise, players like Lebron and Durant will be in the latter stages of their career and will be on the way out. Teams like Golden State and the Spurs won't have the same core group of guys they have now due to contracts and egos. I know, I'm a stupid Laker fan grasping at any ridiculous theory for hope, especially after a franchise worst 16 wins last season. I'm also kinda serious, I really feel like three years down the road we can be competitive playoff team looking to make a push for the Finals. These young guys are going to have a shit ton of time to develop great chemistry with one another while growing into superstars individually. D'Angelo Russell, aka the snitch, will leave his history in the past where it belongs and will become the leader of this Franchise going forward. I have an astonishing amount of confidence in this young group, they kinda remind me of the "core four" the Yankees had in the late 90's. Now, they just need to mimic what the Yankees did and start stock piling championship trophy's.
