Russell Westbrook to Boston trade rumors are heating up

B/R’s Howard Beck- “Westbrook could be traded sooner rather than later and the most likely destination right now is the Boston Celtics.”

When I heard the report early this morning when I woke up it made me wanna crawl into a ball, go under my bed, and never come out. My favorite player in the NBA now that Kobe is retired might go to the arch nemesis of my favorite NBA franchise, the Boston Celtics. As a Laker fan I hear this and cringe, a kid who spent his college days playing at UCLA and, who also loves the lime light isn’t going to come play for the Lakers but is going to go to the Celtics?! I know he has no say in this decision because it would be via trade but I’ll have a very hard time rooting for Russell Westbrook in the Green and White. Now if Westbrook were to tell the Celtics I’ll stay and sign an extension at the end of the season and then leave after they gave up all those assets to get him that’d be the ultimate Machiavellian move. On top of that, if he left Boston and came to LA I’d have to declare him my favorite player ever based on the sole fact he fucked over Danny Ainge and the Celtics. That’s the kind of player I want leading the young stars we have on this roster. A true savage who will do anything necessary to take out the enemy and bring more championships to LA. We’re only one ring behind Boston for most all time, so Russy do the right thing, fuck over the Celtics, come back home to LA, and cement your legacy by adding some championship rings to your resume. Just remember there’s plenty of room outside the Staples Center for another statue.
