By BobThe NBA season has yet to even begin and already we have some trade rumors. This is too classic, it seems like everybody is dispensable nowadays, even guys with all-star ceilings who were signed a year ago. This weeks rumor mill prospect is big man LaMarcus Aldridge of the San Antonio Spurs. After dipping Portland last summer, the entire league considered LA and Kawhi to be the future of this franchise but already that ship may have sailed. Apparently if Aldridge does not live up to his contract, the Spurs have no problem sending the big man packing. I personally was shocked to hear about this, I am a huge LaMarcus Aldridge guy. He is big, physical and knows how to score the rock from almost anywhere. Not to mention his first season with the Spurs may not have made him an all-star but averaging 18.0 points, 8.5 rebounds and shooting 51% is still beast. Although I can see where the front office is coming from. The big guy is 31 years old and probably only has two years of prime left in him at most, so why not sell high on him while they have a chance. With Kawhi proving last season he can carry both the offense and defense, it could actually work in San Antonios favor to trade him. I am very curious to how this will all play out, most likely it is all just rumors but this could end up being a league shifting trade if it actually happens.
