By DjackIt's official the 2017 NBA All Star game has been moved to New Orleans. Just to recap the prior events, in July, the game was removed from Charlotte due to the governor passing some legislation discriminating against the LGBT community. Its 2016, people are still trying to discriminate, and it's only hurting themselves. The city of Charlotte should be very upset, one because they are losing an awesome All Star weekend, but they are also losing millions of dollars in revenue. I guess being ignorant really does come with a price. The New Orleans Pelicans, are probably so happy they got to steal this game away from the Charlotte Hornets. The Hornets stole the Pelicans name after they were done using it and now the Pelicans took their All Star game. We all know that's why they pushed so hard to host the festivities. Any fan of the All Star weekend should be happy about this move as well, New Orleans is a way better party town then Charlotte could ever be. I mean February in New Orleans is going to be very poppin this year with All Star game festivities and Mardi Gras all in a couple weeks time, might be a good vacation spot (as I look up prices on Expedia). All in all, great day for the NBA they get their All Star game into a great city, a city that could use an event like this to pull them closer together. On the other hand, the Governor of North Carolina aka the scumbag that passed the H2B legislation, takes a huge L and losses a crap load of money for that city.
