By DjackProcess buffering, Joel Embiid is to undergo an MRI on his knee to see why it's continuing to give him major issues. Embiid has missed 16 of the last 17 games anyways so no immediate impact on the Sixers play right now, although I'm sure Sixer fans would be much happier knowing he's healthy and contributing. As much as I like Joel Embiid for being a funny, easy going guy, if this trend continues his career in the NBA will be a very short one. He has already missed two full seasons due to injury and this season has been more of the same. Even in very limited minutes Embiid found a way to get injured and miss the rest of the season. If you're a Sixers fan prepare for the worst, prepare to hear his knee is destroyed when they get the results back from the MRI, sadly that'll probably be the reality of the situation. I'm not going to sugar coat it, Embiid is turning into Greg Oden, helluva player when he can stay healthy, but could never stay healthy for a long enough stretch to make a real impact. Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Sixers fans you can't count on Embiid to be your future. With his current injury and his past history with injuries how can you expect to build around a guy who can't stay on the floor for more than 25 minutes without getting hurt. I really hope I'm wrong, usually when a player goes into a MRI after weeks of the ailment not getting better nothing but bad news follows. First Simmons is done for the year and now likely Embiid, the only young player that stays healthy on this team is Jahlil Okafor and the front office hates him. Sixers may of thought they had all the right pieces in play now to start building towards a success future, and now Embiid's health is fucking it all up. Can't say I necessarily feel bad for Philly fans because they aren't the kindest ofolks, however this has been a very shitty situation for them, so try to understand why they're so pissed off all the time. For now the process is buffering, the Sixers future as a franchise is beginning to look more bleak, and there's no end in sight.
