Isaiah Thomas Says 'Lakers Trying to Make Playoffs'

Why did you have to do it to me IT. I had accepted the fate of the Lakers once again not making the playoffs. I will admit, I began to dabble with the thought last night after smoking the Heat by 20 points. Then, I looked at the current standing, and realized there's no possible way the Lakers make the playoffs. I wake up this morning and see IT talking that shit that he's trying to make the playoffs. He brought me back in and now all I can think about is the unlikely miracle it would take for the Lakers to reach the playoffs. Currently, the Lakers sit 7 games out of the 8 seed with 3 teams ahead of them, and 21 games to go in the regular season. The odds are stacked extremely high against the Lakers.

The Lakers are 4-0 since the all star break or as others might put it, since Lonzo Ball's return.  If we can turn that into 25-0 after the all star break, I can almost guarantee we make the playoffs. Obviously, that won't happen. Looking at it practically, there's nothing that'd sway anyone to think the Lakers can possibly make this run. Not even the most delusional of fans could possibly think 7 games behind in the loss column could be made up in just 21 games. The Lakers young talent is good and each game they're improving, which is all that really matters. The presence on IT as a scorer and established vet is most definitley going to help improve this team in terms of winning and losing. I was the first one to say that the Lakers were going to be an above .500 team post all star break. Nevertheless, don't get your hopes up that we make the playoffs, just pray we keep playing basketball the way we are right now because this team has been fun as fuck to watch.

With all that being said, I'm the same guy that thinks St.Johns is about to run the table and win the BIg East tournament. Crazier things have happened. That's why I'm fully aboard the Lakers sneaking in as the 8th seed train. Why not us. The Jazz stink, the Clippers are even worse, and the Nuggets are notorious for finding a way to ruin their chances at making the playoffs. Lakers need to go full throttle the rest of the way. No bad games, as a matter of, fact no more bad quarters. That's what it's going to take to pull off this miracle. IT wants to prove something to the league now is the time to do it by resurrecting this Lakers franchise and carry them to the playoffs. Let's fucking go, LakeShow 2.0 boutta run it.
