3/13/2018 Can We Take a Second to Remember the Knicks Drafted Frank Ntilikina Over Dennis Smith Jr.Read NowBy DjackTonight, Dennis Smith Jr. played his first ever game in Madison Square Garden. It should've been one of many games played in MSG this season since the Knicks had the opportunity to draft him. Instead, the Knicks choose some bum from France named Frank Ntilikina, forcing themselves back into the continuous spiral of misery that surrounds this franchise. Dennis Smith Jr. was the only hope for this franchise, anyone with a brain knew the Knicks should draft him if by some miracle he were availiable at #9. Then, when he was availiable and the Knicks had a chance to finally pull themselves out of irrelevancy for good, they did what the Knicks do best, and butchered the fucking shit out of the pick. I remember Knick fans trying to rationalize the decision to take Frank over Dennis Smith Jr., which I simply responded with how it will be the biggest mistake in recent franchise history. Actually, I believe I even have the tweet to prove it: While Frank Ntilikina had 4 points, 6 assists, and 2 rebounds, Dennis Smith was busy putting up a real stat line of 17 points, 2 assists, 3 rebounds, 2 steals, and 1 block on the way to an easy win over the Knicks. That could've been Dennis Smith Jr. lighting it up for the Knicks tonight giving the fans hope for the future. Instead, Knick fans watched the trio of Trey Burke, Emmanuel Muddiay, and Frank Ntilikina run the point guard carousel in New York.
