By MukThe never ending saga of Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier is once again heating up, as Daniel Cormier has not necessarily called out, but demanded that Jon Jones accept the UFC 214 rematch that Dana White has offered him, claiming that he is the champ now and it's "his rules". Dana White said last week that Jon Jones was offered the UFC 214 fight in July, but that if he wanted a "tune-up" fight instead, then the fight would be offered to Jimi Manuwa. But it seems as if DC wants Jon Jones to come face the music, rather than fight Manuwa who we have seen DC beef with for weeks on twitter after Cormier defended his belt vs. Rumble.
I've said this once, and I'll say it 1,000 more times, I hate Daniel Cormier. I truly do not like him one bit, I think he has the biggest mouth in the UFC for a guy who was dominated for 5-rounds by Jon Jones, and has used Jones' recent mishaps and out of competition debacles as ammunition in his war with Jones, but that's all he has - out of competition issues. There is no way in hell DC truly believes Jon Jones actually took steroids, and anyone who does is just looking to bash Jones for his other mishaps. But for once, I do actually agree with Daniel Cormier, and as he simply put it, "there are no tune-up fights in the UFC". I agree with DC because I do think it would be a better move for Jon Jones to just come right back and go get that title that has for so long been his, and for too long has been wrapped around that fat-waist of DC. I think Jones' will accept the fight within the coming days or weeks, and I pray he does, because the last thing we need is a longer title-reign for DC, because once Jon Jones comes back and dominates him once again, this rivalry can finally be put to rest and DC can fade into the darkness, as he could never beat the one true champion of the 205-pound weight class during his time in the UFC.
