By MukWe are 4 days away from the biggest fight of the summer and the biggest rematch in recent memory, as this Saturday August 20th at UFC 202 Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz will square off once again, at 170 pounds, in a fight that will be nothing short of spectacular. Their first fight was incredible as the two men beat each other non stop with constant pressure and big shots, until Nate caught Conor with a left hand that left him dazed & confused, and caused Conor to shoot for a takedown which ultimately led to him being finished by rear-naked choke. What came after that tap out was nothing short of insanity, as social media, TV, and radio seemingly lost their minds from what they saw, either in excitement to see the loud, trash talking Irishman choked out, or by being shocked & crushed that their once untouchable superstar was defeated.
This is the fight of the summer and realistically we should have seen this fight already back at UFC 200, but we all know how the drama went down with Conor and missing his press conference, so now after months of waiting, the rematch has arrived. There is hardly any certainty in predicting results in the fight game, and that's why we love it, but a fight of this magnitude is even more impossible. These two men are warriors who come out swinging each and every night and will not go down with a single punch. While I cannot predict an outcome, I can predict a stand up battle, where whoever can hold on the longest, and not gas out from the heavy exchanges, will seemingly remain victorious. We know Conor has been working tirelessly on his ground game and preparing for an opponent of Nate's size and strength, but we can only hope that Conor stays on his feet because whether he likes it or not, he cannot touch Nate's BJJ ability. Whether you love or hate either of these guys, this fight will be everything it's been hyped up to be, and I simply cannot wait to see what happens. Will the #McGregorEra get back on the fast track to the top, or will 209 represent once again.

by MukNick Diaz just can't seem to stay out of trouble for smoking weed. After receiving a 5 year ban over a year ago, which was reduced and he was just very recently reinstated. I have had Nick on snapchat for the past year, and let me tell you right now, he has not stopped smoking for a single day. He is out in the clubs and partying in the hotels/his home afterwards each night. He is not shy about his marijuana usage, and seems to not care. Just today, Nick recorded for snap his entire conversation/argument with the drug testing agency about them coming to test him at 6 am. He asked for 5-6 hours longer, asking for just some sleep first since he got home so late and has to train all day. He even stated that if they came to his door he wouldn't open it for them. He also said "I'm the only motherfucker here not on steroids and they wanna show up at my door at 6 am, I told them I got some weed right here we can smoke together." Ballsy strategy from Nick, but as he is being tested in the exact minutes that I type this up, I can only imagine the result will not fair well. This is just the latest chapter in the seemingly never ending battle between the UFC and the Diaz brothers about their weed usage. They, along with the majority of the fighters you ask, feel that there should be looser restrictions on marijuana, especially with the increased busts of steroids, where we even heard Nate address this earlier this year in his press conference with Conor, "everyone's on steroids". But for me personally, after watching Nicks snap story over the past few hours, the call for the test was not all to surprising, and to quote someone very close to him - http://m.imgur.com/gallery/m79w1De
By MukWe saw last night on Jon Jones' Instagram account that he thanked his suporters (he noted there might not be too many left), and announced that he feels confident that a resolution to his failed drug test will come very soon and will result in him returning to the octagon as soon as possible. In typical Jon Jones fashion, he deleted the post, but I did watch it first hand and was surprised and interested in what "really good news" he had heard. His agent has decline to comment further and we haven't heard anything from his camp either, but we can only wait now and hope that this is not another episode in the never ending reality TV show that is Jon Jones life. If he were to come back soon, it would mean a very strong chance for him and DC to square off in the coming months, possibly even at MSG, however with Rumble & Glover fighting this weekend, the clock is ticking against this seemingly impossible Jones vs. Cormier rematch that is almost 2 years in the making. Lets hope the MMA gods are watching over Jon, and he can prove his innocence, otherwise he still faces a potential 2-year ban from the sport.
By MukDouble-tap to edit. For the first time in the organizations existence, their is now some form of fighters association for the employees of the UFC. It is likely this has to do with the recent sale of the UFC. The key now for the association will be to get fighters to join, and more importantly the top fighters in the game to join to set the standard and precedent. I love this move for the union because I have been saying for months the fighters need one. After Conor & Nate 2 fell apart for the 200 cars over the press conferences, I felt that a union was needed to get these things hammered out between the Program and Fighters, and the level of pay for these elite athletes needs to be increased, in correlation to the amount of revenue the UFC has been generating. The Association will hold a press conference next week in Vegas, so until then, we will be on the look out for more details from the Associations Twitter account.
