Last season under Todd Bowles first season as the head coach of the Jets, led them to a 10-6 record, finishing 2nd in the AFC East. This was the first season the Jets have finished the season with a positive record since 2010, which was also the last time they have made the playoffs. Last season was a good season for Gang Green, despite not making a playoff appearance the combination of Ryan Fitzpatrick and Brandon Marshall made them close to it. Both Fitzpatrick and Marshall had arguably the best season of their careers, Fitzpatrick threw for nearly 4,000 yards with 31 TDs (NYJ Record) and Marshall finished the season with 1,500+ receiving yards, with 14 TDs and a pro bowl appearance. The conflict the AFC East faces each season is Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. Lucky for the Jets and the rest of the league, Brady is suspended for the first 4 games of the season. This is the perfect time for the Jets to take advantage of this opportunity and try to finish first in the AFC East. I expect big years out of Fitzpatrick, Marshall,Leonard Williams and if healthy, Matt Forte. I predict a 9-7/10-6 finish for New York this year along with a great shot at a playoff run.
