By DjackLet's be honest for a second, this horrible injury that occurred to Bridgewater bailed the GM the fuck out. Let's not forget Rick Spielman drafted Christian Ponder 10th overall, arguably one of the worst first round picks ever. He's made up for that drafting great everywhere else, but once again he drafted a shitty QB in Teddy Bridgewater.
The Vikings were able to cover up his flaws in the first two years making him a glorified game manager. All he did was dink and dunk his way to a comfortable 3000 yards, throwing less than a touchdown per game, essentially just trying not to lose the game for his team. Then, he goes down with this injury and everyone is acting like they lost their franchise QB, when he was never a franchise QB to begin with. Vikings have Sam Bradford now who isn't the worst and he proved he was way more effective than Bridgewater throwing for 1000 more yards than him this season. Spielman got bailed out by this injury because now it's the freak injury that ruined the pick, not just bad scouting, apparently he was just going to blossom into a franchise QB out of nowhere after being mediocre for 2 seasons. Bullshit, obviously not extending his contract was a no brainer the guy sucks, and now his knee is destroyed. Vikings get to sneak there way out of this Bridgewater situation and the next time we see Bridgewater in the NFL it probably won't be in a Vikings uniform.
