"Los Angeles Rams quarterback Case Keenum said he was "seeing ghosts" last week. Now apparently so is Todd Gurley."It's crazy," the Rams' star running back said after Friday's practice. "I'm like, 'Man, that's 12 people on the field!'"Gurley was referring to the amount of players opposing defenses are stacking in the box to prevent him from running the ball effectively. The second-year pro has amassed only 98 yards on 36 carries through the first two weeks and is averaging 0.89 yards before first contact, a clear indication that opposing defenses are penetrating the line of scrimmage to suffocate Gurley every time he touches the ball."Sometimes that's a good thing," Gurley said, "because if you get past the first level, then you're going. But you have to get past the first level first."  - Via ESPN's Alden Gonzalez

I read this today and I wanted to drop dead. The last thing you want to read as a fantasy owner is that your first round pick is seeing twelve men of the field. Gurley needs to get his act together, like THIS week, he's been quite simply, awful. Like Gurley said the other team is going to stack the box, did that stop Adrian Peterson from becoming the running king, no. I don't want excuses or stupid analogies Gurley, I need results, my team is doing awful, and you're at fault for that. Jeff Fisher continues to prove how incompetent he is, can't find a way to get his running back in open space, and oh yeah, he's so clueless that he thinks Case Keenum is actually a viable option at quarterback. If the Rams had any sort of passing threat that would give Gurley all the extra space he needs to become the superstar running back we all know he can be. The Rams haven't even scored a touchdown this year, that's just pathetic, and it's not even like they don't have playmakers on offense because they do with Tavon Austin and Todd Gurley. No quarterback, no success, that's the sad reality of this Rams team, also Jeff Fisher has no idea what he's doing with the offense so that doesn't help either. Honestly, I don't give two shits how the Rams do, I watched that one Monday night game, and I hope I never have to watch one of their games for the rest of the year. I do care that Todd Gurley starts rushing for 100 yards and some Touchdowns, so let's get our shit together LA, Todd Gurley needs to save the stupid fantasy owners that drafted him way too early.
