Is beast mode looking for a potential rebirth in the league?Several reports came out today that the Raiders were actively pursuing Marshawn Lynch, in order for this to happen a lot would need to take place, though. First, Lynch would have to come out of retirement. After that he'd have to be traded or released by the Seahawks since he's technically still under contract with them. Then, the Raiders would have to probably pay him a pretty penny since it wouldn't be cheap to bring him out of retirement. If they can manage to do all that, they'll be able to bring their already great offense to a whole new level. I'd even go as far as saying they'd be my favorite to win the AFC. That's if they were to get Marshawn Lynch.

Unfortunately, Marshawn Lynch isn't going to be a Raider because he isn't going to play football again. Lynch has already been out of football for a year and the longer you're out the harder it is to comeback. Especially when you're still technically under contract with another team. I'd give this move to the Raiders about a 1% chance. The 1% being he's from Oakland so I'd say that's about the only place he'd really feel the need to play for at this point. However, I stand by what I said before, I cannot see this move actually happening.

Lynch is sitting on his couch counting cash and eating skittles, you think he wants to give that up to take another run at a second act in the NFL? I'm certain he'd be able to still dominate, he's not old whatsoever, and he retired at the top of his game if you take away the injury issues he was having, the thing is though, I think Marshawn likes his new life. He's in commercials, on tv shows, he's just a character that everyone loves. I think he's going to keep it that way, he doesn't have much to gain from this move, so why bother. Plus, the Raiders front office is going to need that cap space to sign back Carr and Mack very soon, so it's in their best interest to keep the extra cap space. Have to love these crazy NFL offseason rumors though, definitely the best sports league at getting wild rumors during the offseason to stay relevant.
