By UppyYou know the statement "You don't know what you have until you've lost it"? Well that's how I felt today being unable to find the Eagles radio broadcast on my ride home from Penn State. Being forced to listen to the Steelers broadcast was awful because there is no equal to the radio play-by-play delivered by the velvet voice of Merrill Reese. I love Merrill Reese. His unique voice and unmatchable style and descriptive abilities make listening to Eagles games almost as enjoyable as watching them. Since 1977, Reese has called the games for the Eagles and he has become as much as a staple as the inevitable fight in the nosebleeds during an NFC East battle at the Linc. That's well over 600 football games called by this man. With Harry Kalas gone, we must cherish what we have for as long as we can. Just for a little feel good juices following this glorious Eagles win, here's another game I had to listen to on the radio for the first half. Luckily I got to see the end ;). God bless Merrill Reese and God damn the New York Giants. Enjoy:
