Haha, but of course. Of course the Eagles need media attention. Thanks a lot, bro. Look I understand the idea that athletes are supposed to be role models and they are encouraged to do good things in their communities. Kids look up to and emulate athletes. But there's a time and a place to take a stand and make a statement, and as an undrafted free agent out of an educational institution by the name of the University of the Incarnate Word (seriously, WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT HAHAHA), you should understand that there is another cut of 21 players to go before you make the final roster. And you're pretty close to solidifying your place off the roster by causing a media storm this close to the regular season. Then when the social justice warrior gets cut, the Eagles look like bad guys, and they say the organization is racist. Yes I know this is an absolute worst case scenario that I just made up in my head, but that's what Eagles fans do. In all honesty, I realize the stance that Colin Kaepernick and his disciples are taking is important and for a good reason. But is it worth disrespecting your flag and losing your multi million dollar contract or in the case of Tavarres, lose your shot at a contract? I guess that's not for me to decide. But, Eagles players, please don't do stupid things before the season and give me a flashback to the "Dream Team".
