By UppyAfter yet another game filled with drops from the wide receiving core, an Eagles fan has started a Go Fund Me account to raise the $2.3 million needed to absorb the cap hit from cutting WR Nelson Agholor. Agholor, who was the Eagles 2015 first round pick out of USC, has been underwhelming at best thorough his first year and a half in Midnight Green. Through 23 career games, the 20th overall pick has 50 receptions on 95 targets for 543 yards and TWO (2!!) touchdowns. Sportingcharts.com only has Agholor listed at one drop on the year (which I just don't believe) but last night was so horrible that I'd have to expose any NFL wide receiver who would've made this drop: (I was just looking for a video of the drop. Suffice to say I got more than I asked for) If there's anybody on this team who should love Nelson Agholor it should be Jordan Matthews. Matthews is listed at 4 drops this year and even that sounds like bullshit. Nelson just happened to have the worst drop of the year thus far so the pressure is all on him right now. I say: why stop at Agholor? The entire WR core has been plagued by drops for the last two years now. Here are the 2016 drops with Wentz: (might wanna watch this on mute, unless you're as cynical as I am) And just for good measure, let's watch them drop Sammy Sleeves' passes: Most drops in the league last year. Isn't that nice?! I'm sick and tired of watching NFL wide receivers drop the ball on a weekly basis. IDK whose worse at their craft at this point: kickers across the league or the Eagles receivers. Cut em all. The 2016 season is already over. Sorry that your receivers hate you Carson, your don't deserve this. Also, I think the Eagles are the only team in the league who have zero capability of throwing the deep ball. I watched PIERRE GARCON, a 30 year old D3 product, burn a Packers defender deep last night. So why can't our 23 year old USC speedster figure out how to run straight faster than the guy covering him. That's literally the sole reason he was drafted. I guess we really DROPPED THE BALL on that draft pick. HA. *cries deeply* Live look at Eagles practice this week: In this scenario, Ben is Nelson Agholor and Kevin O'Doyle is Carson Wentz. Adam Sandler is Agholor's dad, upset that his son is getting picked on by the big bad Ginger Jesus. Shape up Birds. Not for me. For Carson.
