College Football Week 2 Picks

After the best opening weekend in the sport's history, expect to watch a lot of noncompetitive games this week. There will be no games where two ranked opponents face each other so you know it's going to be a real slow day for college football. I'll tell you one thing though, one of these top 25 teams is going to get upset today. Most games today are near certain blow outs like Alabama vs Western Kentucky or Clemson vs Troy, you're going to see a lot of games like that today. No worries though the fans will still get a few good ball games on probably the worst college football weekend of the year. Also if you're a gambling man none of this matters to you besides covering the spreads. I'm going to help you make some good money today. Let's get started...

Arkansas vs TCU 15
TCU is an 8 point favorite in this game, if I were a betting man it's a no-brainer to take them. Arkansas struggled last week against a Louisiana Tech team that they should've dismantled, instead they won by one point. On the other hand, TCU took care of business pummeling South Dakota State University 59-41. Although, the defense did let up way too many points to a team that barely has one star players on the team. Look for the TCU defense to be on lock down today as they look to redeem themselves. I look for Arkansas to play better than last week, but I also look for TCU to improve as well, so TCU will win soundly in a well played football game.

Virginia Tech vs Tennessee 17  
This is probably the best match up that you're going to see today. You got two power conference teams going at it, each with something to prove. Virginia Tech is trying to get back to being a contender in the ACC as the Tennessee Vols look to prove that last week was a flunk and that they're the real deal. I expect Tennessee to do just that, asserting they're dominance proving they're one of the best teams in the nation. I think Virginia Tech will play them close early, but the Vols will run away with it at the end, Vols cover the 12 point spread.

Iowa State vs Iowa 16
Upset alert, the Iowa State Cyclones will be taking down the Iowa Hawk eyes today. The Hawk eyes have one of the easiest roads to the college football playoff, playing a bunch of mediocre teams. Well, those playoff hopes will die today as their in state rival is going to come into their house tonight and punch them in the mouth. I don't think Iowa is all that special, I find them very beatable, and I think Iowa State might just surprise them tonight. I'll be taking Iowa State +16 to make myself a solid 3 for 3 on the day.
