By DjackAs the days of NFL free agency pass a lot of rumors of players all around the league regardless of skill level get mentioned in rumors that they're meeting with teams. One player that hasn't received any attention is Colin Kaepernick. This doesn't make much sense from a football standpoint since he's a young quarterback that has shown a lot of promising traits at the quarterback position, so why does he get no attention. Oh yeah, that's right, he kneeled for the national anthem and Goodell and co. didn't like that, so now no team is calling Kaepernick's phone.
Please don't try an act phony saying Kaepernick just isn't good and that's why teams don't want him because that's just not true. Kaepernick has a better resume and bigger upside than arguably any QB that has hit the free agent market this offseason, so to say he isn't drawing interest from a lack of talent standpoint is ridiculous. Kaepernick has never thrown more than 10 interceptions in a season, so he doesn't turn the ball over much, which is a pretty important component of playing the quarterback position. Kaepernick played very well for the 49ers up until Jim Harbaugh left, the offensive line became horrendous, and their wide receiving core was the worst in the league, some of you still wonder where it all went wrong, though. Kaepernick can still do what he did his first 3 seasons, which is play winning football at his respective position. If a team like the Broncos or Texans would give him a shot I think they'd be pleasantly surprised with the return they get off their investment. Too bad that'll never happen since Kaepernick is being black-balled by the NFL. No one will sign him due to the media firestorm that comes with him, even though he's more than deserving of a spot on an NFL roster. Political bullshit that gets in the way per usual, he knew the ramifications of his actions before he took part in his protest, guess he had more faith in the people running the front offices than he should've.
