Carson Palmer Won't Play Thursday's Game Against the 49ers

I didn't think the 49ers would have any chance to win this game when I originally saw it on the schedule, well now they might just be able to. Drew Stanton will be under center in tomorrow night's game against the 49ers, we've all seen Stanton start for this team multiple times in the past when Palmer has gone down, it hasn't been pretty. This should've been a gimme game for the Cardinals, a nice easy win for them to get back on track, now it's going to be a bloodbath, and I'm starting to think that the 49ers are really going to put a dagger in the Cardinals tomorrow. Not that you can rule the Cardinals season dead just yet after a loss tomorrow, but a 1-4 start in a tough NFC conference is going to be nearly impossible to overcome. This is basically a must win game for the Cardinals, you never want Drew Stanton starting a must win game for your team for the obvious reason that he probably isn't even good enough to be a backup QB in the NFL. A lot of pressure will now be on the Cardinals defense as they will have to do everything in their power to keep the 49ers from scoring over 14 points, because honestly I don't think Stanton is capable of much more than leading two touchdown drives. The defense itself might actually need to get some points on the board if they want to win this game, so they'll have to be very aggressive in the secondary. This could secretly be a blessing in disguise though,  now they'll have to lean heavily on their run game, which is what they should've been doing all along. Fantasy owners of David Johnson are going to be really satisfied with his performance this week because he's going to put up some huge numbers. The 49er defense is also missing their leader NaVorro Bowman due to a season ending injury, so the Cardinals offense has one less thing to worry about, and that's a big thing to not have to worry about. At least they're playing a team that isn't very talented so they should be able to get the win without Palmer, especially if they expect to be a contender, look at the Patriots they were still able to win without Brady, so time to step up Arians and prove that you're a master mind head coach.
