By DjackWow, what a way to kick off the 2016 NFL season. This game was better than the Super Bowl match up between these two, smash mouth football at it's finest. All game long bodies were being tossed, helmets were getting cracked, and quarterbacks were not safe. The Panthers looked phenomenal early, Cam led them on a couple of long methodical drives that ended in touchdowns. The Broncos defense was not looking too sharp early against the guy they embarrassed in last year's Super Bowl. Trevor Siemian also looked pretty unappealing in the first half throwing two interceptions, add a CJ Anderson fumble into the mix, and the Broncos were looking like they were going to get blown out going into the half. It was only 17-7, but the Broncos offense had already turned the ball over three times, and Cam seemed to be having his way whenever he was on the field. Well the second half rolled around and the entire game shifted 180 degrees. The Broncos came out and kept pounding the rock, and what do you know it started to work. The offensive line for the Broncos was the MVP of this game doing almost the impossible in containing probably the best front seven in football. Chris Harris of the Broncos made one of the best plays on a ball I've ever seen, he somehow how broke up a pass, the ball popped up into the air, he then someone how changed direction on a dime, laid out, and made the snag. That was all the momentum shift the Broncos needed, they continued to run the ball down the Panthers throat, and ended up scoring a touchdown off that turnover. They ran seven plays from inside the 10 yard line on that drive, which would end up being the game winning drive. The last drive of the game by the Panthers was one of the more dramatic final drives to a game you will ever see in the regular season. On a 4th and forever, with under two minutes left, the original play where the game should've ended when Cam threw incomplete to Kelvin Benjamin, a flag was throw for illegal hands to face giving the Panthers a second life. Well, Cam took advantage despite looking like a scared pussy cat the entire final drive of the game. He got his team into field goal range, and left an excellent kicker Graham Gano with a 50 yarder. Mind you, this game is in Denver so this is realistically more like a 40 yarder. He drills it the Panthers win, too bad Gary Kubiak called a timeout, Gano tries for it again and hooks it to the left. Broncos upset the Panthers and make me look like an asshole. Trevor Siemian still hasn't proved a damn thing to me, but this Denver team is a gutsy one let me tell ya. MAD props to them, I still don't think they'll make the playoffs though.
