By DjackJosh Brown, kicker for the New York Giants, was suspended earlier this season for one game after domestic violence charges came to light. Well, now more evidence of Brown and the extent of what he did came out, and the NFL is now thinking about revisiting the case to suspend him again. As of right now he has not been suspended, but he won't be going to London with the Giants this week. That's a good judgement call by the Giants, but I say take it a step further, release this scumbag. We are not the Cowboys, we don't pride ourselves on being the organization that takes the trash off the streets, we put the trash back on the streets where it belongs. Giants have always been good about being a high character franchise, that's why we aren't dysfunctional organization. The last thing we need right now is a fucking kicker bringing distractions to this team, we're already putting up with the bullshit surrounding Odell and his new wife the kicking net, that we don't need a kicker doing the same. Josh Brown is a loser, a pussy, whatever the hell you want to call this miscreant because if you hit a women you deserve every bad thing coming your way. Doesn't surprise me that a kicker is the face of this story either, Brown has probably been bullied his entire life in locker rooms, so he felt tough beating his wife, what a pathetic human being. Makes me sick to my stomach, more people are directing hate towards Colin Kaepernick, when these are the type of guys we should be ripping to shreds because they actually deserve it. Giants need to take initiative, release this bum, don't wait for the NFL to take action because we all know how they handle domestic violence cases a la Ray Rice, Giants can put this to bed now by releasing him. Any man that hits a women doesn't deserve to put on that uniform, yet the NFL never seems to have a problem letting those guys represent them by wearing their logo on their chest on Sundays. Giants, don't make a stupid decision here, never let that dirtbag represent Big Blue again, he doesn't deserve to.

By MukThis coming Sunday, Brock Osweiler will make his return to Denver, as the 4-2 Texans take on the 4-2 Broncos in a very important AFC matchup. However, that is not the story line of the game; Brock Osweiler was drafted by the Broncos back in 2012, and spent the first 4 seasons of his career in Denver, helping them win a Super Bowl last season when he filled in for an injured Peyton Manning, but he shocked the organization when he left them for more money in Houston. The Broncos remember that, and they remember that well. Broncos Linebacker and defensive star, Brandon Marshall, said Monday that "It's Brock. We know Brock. He came from here. And we want to kill him. That's just what we want to do."
Marshall did add that he is happy Brock got paid, but that still doesn't change the message that the defense is looking to send. Denver's D will look to continue its dominance and bounce back from last week's rough loss to the Chargers, with Trevor Siemian returning to the starting lineup. This game will be much more about Denver's D and how they control Lamar Miller and D-Hop, while sticking it to Brock in the process. I expect the Broncos to pull out this victory come Sunday, but if they drop this one, the Broncos could be exposed as a team with serious struggles. By DjackFor the past 22 games Jets fans have come accustomed to seeing Ryan Fitzpatrick under center, this Sunday there will be a different number under center for the first time since 2014. Fitzpatrick has been one of the most consistent starting quarterbacks they've had over the past 15 years, that's not necessarily saying much, the Jets just haven't had many options. When your franchises best quarterbacks in the last 15 years are Chad Pennington, Mark Sanchez, and Ryan Fitzpatrick, that says a lot about your organization. Last season Ryan Fitzpatrick put up the best numbers of his career, which I believe is mostly in part to what he had around him, but still it was the best quarterback play we've seen out of a Jets QB in a long time. After the season Fitzpatrick and the Jets disputed over contracts all summer until they finally agreed upon a one year deal. This was probably the smartest managerial move the Jets have ever made because my god Ryan Fitzpatrick has been awful so far this season. Fitzpatrick has thrown 5 touchdowns to 11 interceptions in just 6 games this season, he threw 15 interceptions all of last season. After a 1-5 start to the season it was clearly time for Todd Bowles to make a change at the quarterback position, he did just that today when he announced that Geno Smith will be the starter for the Jets this week. Geno Smith huh, that's who Todd Bowles is going with to try to save his job, he's clearly desperate. Coach Bowles originally said Fitzpatrick would start next week at the postgame press conference, but after further review of the film he must've finally realized that Smith can't be any worse than Fitzpatrick. I respect the decision by Bowles, not that he had much of a choice, changing up personnel at the quarterback position might just give the team that little hope that maybe they can turn it around with this guy. Geno Smith's play might not back up that glimmer of hope the team might get from this change, but you never know, maybe Geno will light the place up come Sunday. He was originally supposed to be the starter over Fitzpatrick going into last season, so we will see if can reignite this Jet engine because the Jets are one loss away from a total crash.
By MukFirst let me start off by saying the NFL is miserable this season. The amount of prime-time games that I have wanted to watch from start to finish without cringing is exactly zero. Ratings are at record low's this season and I think it is very easy to see why. Not only was the game last night between two unevenly matched teams, but the referees made the game an absolute chore to watch. I have truly never seen more penalties called in my entire life. Buster Skrine seemed to have his name and number called every single time Carson Palmer dropped back to pass.
However, the Jets suck. Plain and simple the Jets need some major change type of change in the coming weeks, or this season is virtually over. The so-called "best Defensive Line in the NFL" was devoured by David Johnson last night, giving up 111 yards and 3 TD's on 22 carries, for a total of 171 yards on the ground allowed to the entire Arizona team. We know the Jets secondary is struggling, and Revis is being exposed as a human-being and not some kind of superhero, but no one has been able to play well consistently for the Jets D this season. The secondary did do a better job not allowing any deep plays, something they have struggled with all season, and they also held the Cardinals receivers to well under 100 yards each (John Brown lead the team for Arizona with only 54 yards on 5 catches), but the run game made up for the passing attack, in a big way. We did see the return of Geno Smith last night for the Jets, as Fitz was only able to muster up 174 yards, completing 16 of his 31 passes, and of course, a pick. Geno is not a good NFL QB, and that is still a fact, but we may see more snaps for him if Fitz and the Jets continue to struggle, because, well, why the hell not. David Johnson continued his monstrous season, and now leads the NFL in yards from scrimmage with 833 total yards and 8 TD's. We saw Tyrann Mathieu get himself back into the interception column last night, intercepting Geno Smith late in the game. Mathieu moved back into his cover corner position last night for the first time this season, and while looking a bit rusty, he still proved to be a huge playmaker for the Card's. Patrick Peterson and Brandon Marshall battled all night, with B-Marsh getting the better of Peterson on one route specifically, beating him over the middle for a 36 yard gain. With the 28-3 win, Arizona moves to 3-3 on the season, looking like they have gotten back on track and are playing to the potential that they have, as being one of the strongest playoff contenders in the NFL. The Jets on the other hand, fall to 1-5 and if they fail to win next week against the Ravens, this season looks like it will be in the books for the Jets. By Djack
By DjackThe Carolina Panthers are now 1-5 to start the season, after a surprise Super Bowl run where they were basically unbeatable all season, they're now struggling to stay relevant in the playoff discussion. They look like a mere shell of themselves from last season, after a heartbreaking loss to the Saints in which the Panther mounted a comeback from 21 points down, they were unable to surmount it, and were handed their 5th loss in just 6 games. Drew Brees is obviously still an elite quarterback, so his offense will put up points on anyone, but letting up 41 points is unacceptable, especially for a team coming off a Super Bowl appearance. I've praised this Panthers front 7 all season, calling them one of the best in the league, yet week after week they fail to assert their dominance, and have now let up 40 points in 2 of their last 3 games. I guess I can't blame the front 7 completely for the Panthers shitty defensive performance since they've only let up 100 yards rushing twice this season, so the run defense hasn't been the problem. The Panthers are getting fried in the secondary, they lost a veteran presence in Charles Tillman, and they lost their #1 guy Josh Norman this offseason so you had to anticipate some setbacks in the secondary, but nobody expected the secondary to get fried the way they are right now. They're letting up about 300 YPG in passing alone, that's horrible, and definitely not a recipe for success. Cam Newton as much as I'd love to fry him for being awful, none of this is his fault. His protection has been poor, Jonathon Stewart has been out for the majority of the season leaving him with no running game to lead on, and the defense has been letting up score after score forcing the Panthers to play from behind in the majority of games this season. Am I saying it is impossible for the Panthers to turn this around and make the playoffs, no, but it sure is looking more and more like that is going to be the case very soon. The Panthers can afford to lose two more games at most, even then their playoffs hopes will be riding on the downfall of another NFC team. Their division hopes might be all but vanished now that they're in dead last in their division, Ron Rivera should be very worried about his job security at this moment, there was very high expectations coming into this season for Carolina. As for Carolina fans, isn't this exactly what happened in the early 2000's after you made the Super Bowl, the next year the team laid a complete egg, well at this point it should just be ritual then. This is karma for Cam being an asshole all of last season, ain't so much fun when you're getting your ass kicked, now is it Cam.
By BobAnother week, another injury. This weeks big injury news comes from the Pittsburgh Steelers camp who will be without their star quarterback Ben Roethlisberger for at least a few weeks. Big Ben needs meniscus surgery to trim off some the torn part of his knee. The knee may not ever fully repair, but it will allow his body to recover in a much faster time span. This is a big blow for a contending team, who will be playing the New England Pats next week and we all know how well they have been playing. Landry Jones is set to start for the Steelers (yikes) which will obviously have an impact on the performances of the receiving corps. Luckily, Leveon Bell has been playing outstanding since his return and the best running back in the league can easily take over this offense. There is not timetable yet for when Big Ben would return but if I was a Pittsburgh fan i would hope its as soon as possible. When you lose to a disgraceful Dolphins team that may be a sign its time to hit the panic button. It is certainly going to be a challenge for Mike Tomlin to scheme this upcoming week with such a gaping hole in his offenses ability, but he will have to make due with the cards he is dealt.
By DjackPut all the protesting aside, put all the social movements on hold, it was finally time for Colin Kaepernick to play football. Kaepernick has kept his name relevant around the league, not in part to his once electric play style, but because of his National Anthem protest. He'd once again take a knee during the anthem as fans shouted all sorts of remarks at him throughout the course of the game. I can only speak for myself when I say this, but I was more interested in watching this game to see if Kaepernick could still ball out or not, than watching it just to shit on him. Fans say Kaepernick is the reason that ratings are going down, I laugh when I hear stupid remarks like that, every sports media outlet has been talking about this controversy for 2 months now, he's attracting people if anything because they either want to watch him fail or just see if he continues to protest. Everyone wants to weigh in on the Kaepernick debate, he's not hurting the ratings whatsoever, that's all Trump baby. Anyways, football was played on Sunday, Kaepernick was the starter for the first time in about a year, and he did what I thought was a sufficient job. I'm not going to say he blew my mind with the way he played, but he did a hell of a lot better than Blaine Gabbert. He averaged over 1 more yard per attempt than Gabbert did in his last start, Kaepernick also lead the 49ers in rushing, and he didn't commit any turnovers, something Gabbert failed to do in his last 4 starts. Kaepernick was basically the only offense the 49ers had, could he have been more accurate passing the ball, of course, but he's obviously still shaking off some cob webs since he hasn't thrown much at all in the last 6 months. The Bills offense also didn't give Kaepernick much of a chance to have successs since they dominated time of posssesion, possessing the ball for 10 more minutes than the 49ers offense, and Kaepernick had to play from behind all game
since his defense couldn't make a stop.49ers defense should be ashamed of themselves, they allowed a Bills offense that has been relatively bad since forever put up 45 points. 49er fans need to look elsewhere for answers because QB position is not the biggest problem this team has right now. By DjackFor 3 1/2 quarters Twitter was filled with how awful Brock Osweiler is, but his last 3 drives of the game shut everybody up real quick. The Colts had a 14 point lead with under 7 minutes left in the game, it was all but over until the Texans offense decided to find their grove out of nowhere. On the final 3 drives of the game Brock Osweiler was a machine, completing 14/17passes for 168 yards, throwing two touchdowns along the way. I don't know what happened, but Brock Osweiler looked like a man playing for his job in the last couple minutes of that game, probably because he was. I understand the criticism of Brock Osweiler, for the first 53 minutes of the game he was 11/22 for 101 yards with an interception, pretty atrocious for a guy making 18 million a year, especially against a JV defense like the Colts. The thing is when you signed this guy you knew you weren't getting a finished product, everyone is expecting Osweiler to come in and shred defenses, give the kid some time learn how to become an NFL quarterback. He's proven he can win big games, he beat the then undefeated Patriots last year, and last night he led a heroic fourth quarter comeback. As for the Colts, they're just a bad team, how do u lose a game where you're up by 14 with just 7 minutes to play, fucking pathetic. Now all week I'm going to hear about how Andrew Luck is underachieving, let me tell you something, if the Colts didn't have Andrew Luck they'd be 0-6 with an average loss margin of 30+. Luck is the only reason this team is in games, his offensive line is the worst in the league, his weapons on the outside are weak, and the defense is clearly garbage. The Colts had a 100yard rusher for the first time since 2012 last night, shows just how much help Luck is getting from his supporting cast. Colts fans should be crucifying the GM not Luck, the fact he put together this roster expecting to win shows just how intelligent he really is because this roster honestly may have less talent than the Browns. Just think if Texans don't pull off that crazy comeback we're probably talking about how the Texans are in big trouble and how the Colts are back on the rise. Funny how football works.
By UppyEw. That was just a gross game to watch. Sloppy play on both sides of the ball to go with a million penalties (14 I believe) for the second straight game. Two games with 110+ penalty yards will result in 2 losses almost every time. Rookie Halapoulivaati Vaitai did an absolutely horrendous job filling in for roided up Lane Johnson while he serves his suspension. Ryan Kerrigan literally bullied Vaitai around the field today. Just rag dolled him wherever he pleased while he wreaked havoc in the backfield. The O-line didn't give Wentz a chance today until they started getting help from the smallest player on the field in Darren Sproles. He was doing a better job than Vaitai at stopping the bum rush from Washington.
The defense couldn't stop a fucking nose bleed as every player handed the ball from Kirk Cousins was running for 20+ on a consistent basis. Then we finally start to bottle up the run on the Redskins last drive and while we only need one more stop to get the ball back and have a chance to extend the game, we get gashed by Matt Fucking Jones and lose our second straight. Shout out to Malcolm Jenkins for the Pick 6 and Wendell Smallwood for the Kick Return TD but overall boo. Gross. Ugh. Filth. I hate days like today. |
