Last night, the Knicks young star Kristaps Porzingis, took to twitter to post a head-scratching tweet. It was short and sweet, but the message was powerful enough to rip out the souls of Knick fans everywhere, the tweet read, LA Clippers followed by not one but three smiley faces. Bad bad news for the Knicks.
Well, today, one of Porzingis' reps put the rumors to bed by saying his twitter was hacked. This is the biggest lie I've heard in quite some time and I don't buy it whatsoever. If you're a Knicks fan you should be shaking in your boots because Kristaps Porzingis is potentially leaving very soon. Was this foreshadowing for when he becomes a free agent as to where he wants to go. Is this a possible trade destination for him to land this summer. Why the hell would Porzingis tweet that out, there's not too many options to choose from. They all seem to end with Porzingis landing with the Clippers. The hacked excuse is such an old excuse at this point and the fact that the tweet wasn't completely outrageous and out of character makes it way more believable that Porzingis did in fact tweet this. Porzingis was probably was sauced at the club last night, heard some trade rumors, and made a bad decision releasing it to the world. All I know is the fact that Porzingis skipped the exit interviews and now this is not encouraging whatsoever, bad bad signs for Knicks fans regarding their young superstar.
Phil Jackson has done one good thing in his time in New York, acquiring Porzingis in the draft. Now, he's trying to sabotage that as well. If the Knicks make the terrible decision of dealing Porzingis the organization will be set back another 5 years and I don't think these fan can take that. I honestly feel bad at this point, if they manage to ruin Porzingis being in New York, then this franchise is the Cleveland Browns of the NBA. At that point it'll be official. Please stop the circus show in New York and figure out this nonsense with your young superstar. He's the only glimmer of hope that this pathetic franchise has.
