The 2011 MVP is bringing some confidence back to NY and I could not be more hyped. After going out on a limb to call the Knicks a "super team" and compare them to the Warriors, he did not back down from his statements even after being ripped to threads on the internet. Today, it was reported via ESPN.com's Ian Begley that Rose stated "I still believe that" and that"you should believe in yourself and have the confidence in yourself that you're playing on a super team anywhere".

Can we take a second and give a round of applause to D-Rose? This man has had countless injuries that have derailed a possible HOF worthy career and he still has as much confidence as a 21 year old walking into a bar for the first time without a fake. That takes fucking guts man, I love his mind set. Let the haters hate, Derrick, because there is not a doubt in my mind you are having a bounce back season and are gonna cook with Melo and Kristaps. Now that he won't be the main point of offense anymore, the chances of him getting injured to fatigue will go down substantially which will make him that much more of a potent player.

People can hate on the Knicks all they want for going after "injury prone" players this off-season like D-Rose, Joakim Noah, and Brandon Jennings. These guys have some of the biggest hearts in all of the NBA and are gonna bring a new level of tenacity to the garden that we havent seen since Melo first arrived. Don't believe me? Than your memory must not be all there. Noah finished in 4th in the 2014 MVP voting behind the likes of Lebron, KD and and Blake Griffen. Sure, he had a tough season last year in Chicago but he has had time to heal and now it's back to hustling on the hardwood and being a huge momentum booster. I am telling you all right now, do not laugh at Roses comments. With the Knicks finally having a strong (and healthy) starting 5 along with a decent bench they will easily make the Eastern Conference Finals and give the Cavs a run for their money. Sleep on them all you want, heart and hustle will win every time.
