By DjackA proud father that gets hated on by TV personalities, members of the media, and fans is completely unnecessary, yet it's been happening for months. LaVar Ball, father of UCLA star point guard Lonzo Ball, has made some controversial statements about his son's talent in a positive way over the past few months. He's made comments along the lines of, my son is better than Steph Curry, my son will only play for the Lakers, and my son doesn't lose to the same team twice, so people began to get upset that his father was making these outlandish comments for him. Why people got so butt hurt over it, I couldn't tell you, but for whatever reason people started giving LaVar Ball heat for it, and it's total bullshit.
Since when is it a bad thing to think highly of your son? I'm pretty sure every father tells their kid growing up their the best trying to build up their confidence, so why is it different for LaVar Ball. Does he take it too far sometimes, maybe, why do you care so much though, he's an American just like you, so he can voice any opinion he pleases. Also, if you think it's added pressure on his son that's comical, his son is the best player on one of the top 5 best teams in college basketball and is going to be a top 5 pick in the draft, his father comment's aren't going to break his spirit. His father makes these comments to drive his son to greatness, he's trying to build this kid to believe he can be the greatest ever, and that sounds like a damn good support system to me. As for LaVar Ball catching all this heat. Anyone hating on him is playing right into his hand. LaVar Ball is beginning to become a much bigger public figure than any athlete's parent has ever reached. Ball is getting interviewed, he's going on talk shows, and most importantly he's building his sons brand. Triple B's, the brand that LaVar has created with his 3 sons that will all play at UCLA and then the NBA, is the first brand any college athlete's have had coming straight into the league. Lonzo will be coming into the league with his own brand and that is truly revolutionary. LaVar is helping build his sons brand, getting everyone talking about the Ball family because before you know this family could be a real powerhouse in the NBA circle. All I'm saying is watch who you're calling an idiot, Mr.Ball might actually know exactly what he's doing.

By MukAndrew Wiggins' current hot streak shows no signs of slowing, as he posted his 18th-straight game with 20 or more points, the longest active streak in the NBA, when the Wolves beat the Kings Monday. Wiggins dropped 27 points, while adding 4 steals and 4 rebounds. Through the month of February, Wiggins averaged 28.8 points, and over his last 9 games, 2.4 steals per game. Him and Karl-Anthony Towns have been on an absolute tear this past month, with KAT also averaging 28.4 points and 13.3 rebounds a game through February. It's great to see the Timberwolves two young stars really putting it together, with KAT averaging 24.1 points a game on the season, and Andrew Wiggins averaging 23.4 points a game, the two youngin's have really been red-hot. The Wolves have one of the brightest futures in the NBA, and they are just some time and a few more key pieces away from being able to really become a threat in the West, just mark my words. With the win over the Kings Monday, the Wolves have moved within 2.5 games of the 8th seed in the West, creeping up on the Nuggets. With 22-games remaining, the Wolves will need Andrew and KAT to continue their recent dominance, as these two young superstars are going to have to carry the Timberwolves into that 8th seed. PS - This young man can FLY ---- get out of his way!!! DjackThe Golden State super team is in big big trouble. Last night, Zaza Pachulia was bodied by Marcin Gortat, the result was him being thrown to the ground, and directly into Kevin Durant's knee. Right when Durant grabbed his knee and was hobbling, I immediately asssumed the worst. When he was able to limp off the court into the lockerrom was when I started to think, oh maybe it's not catastrophic. Now that the diagnosis is out, KD and the Warriors season has some serious doubts starting to creep in. They're saying he's out for at least 4 weeks, and then he'll go in for a follow up MRI to see how he has or has not recovered. That'll be judgement day for the Golden State Warriors.
If KD can't comeback, you can just call off the rest of the season and give the Cavs the trophy right now. Without KD the Warriors might not even make it through the western conference, let alone be able to snatch the crown away from the Cavs who have only improved in recent days with the Deron Williams and Andrew Bogut signings. The Cavs will probably go 16-0 and win the NBA championship in the most dominant fashion in history, if KD can't comeback. Rockets Spurs, and Clippers all could give the Warriors a run for their money in the west. Think about it the Warriors lost a lot of depth on their bench and their interior presence when making room for Durant. Now the Warriors could pay the ultimate price. If they lose with or without Durant the pressure is only going to build, the Warriors absolutely can not let this super team fail or it'll be the biggest embarrassment in league history. If Durant is able to come back beginning of April like the Warriors are hoping, this whole injury will mean nothing. As long as he's 100% of course, if it's effecting his game that could make all the difference, but if he's completely fine it'll be like this never happened. Warriors are getting the #1 seed regardless they aren't going to just start tanking that's just unrealistic, they have a big enough lead to hold it for the last month of the season. I hate KD, I think he's a baby back bitch, however I hope he comes back before the playoffs so this entire NBA season isn't an entire waste. We've waited months and we are so close to playoff basketball if there isn't a Cavs-Warriors NBA Finals part 3 with both teams at full strength this entire season will be one of the worst in NBA history |
