Ichiro gets hit number 3,000

Ichiro Suzuki tripled Sunday for his 3,000th career MLB hit, becoming just the 4th foreign born player, and 4th player with 3,000 hits and 10 Gold Gloves. Ichiro has been one of the greatest, if not the single greatest hitter in baseball history, displaying multiple 200+ hit seasons, with the speed and arm strength to blow minds. And on top of it all, he had power. Now I know you must be thinking I'm an idiot, as his career home runs are incredibly low, but you ask those who saw him hit BP, and they'd tell you he could put the ball out with ease. He has played the game of baseball in such a beautiful way, the game was not a game but a craft to him, that he has worked tiressly and intensively on. Still hitting well over .300 over 40 years old, we have to wonder if the Japanese sensation can continue to play the game he loves so much for at least a few more years. Nothing but respect for Ichiro.
