By DjackI knew it was too good to be true, the Yankees young pitcher who had looked so promising in his last few starts, gets shelled tonight, and leaves the game with an elbow injury. He let up four runs in just 1 2/3 innings, quite pathetic, it looked like it was his first start all over again. This could be a huge blow to the Yankees who are in the thick of a wild card race right now. I know Chad Green isn't overwhelming with the way he pitches, but he's certainly better than anyone that's going to step in for him if he has to miss starts. Yankees can't afford any set backs right now, even though we're going to lose tonight, we can still win the series, and get right back on track. If Chad Green can come back his next time out and give us a quality start, all will be good in the Bronx. If this kid has to miss starts or is done for the year, that will be horrible news for us because it just makes our rotation that much weaker. I'm praying this is one of those cases where the pitcher was just sucking and faked an injury to get outta the game before he really embarrassed himself, but this isn't little league so I don't know if he'd do that (Big leaguers definitely still do that). I'm hoping that's what it is because if not, this is the first step of not making the playoffs.
