Cespedes lands on DL

​Mets outfielder Yoenis Céspedes was placed on the disabled list after aggravating his quad injury during a swing  Wednesday at Yankee stadium. It was clear as he winched after his swing that something was bothering him and it turned out to be the nagging quad injury that has bothered him for about a month. This is a huge blow to the mets who are 9 games out in the division and 2 games out in the wild card. The Mets can't afford any more bad stretches where the offense goes quiet. The newly acquired Jay Bruce will have to carry the load while the Mets try to get Céspedes healthy. These next two weeks could decided the season for the Mets.
