By DjackFirst game of the night we got the Pittsburgh Steelers taking on the Washington Redskins. Two teams I don't particularly like, but the Redskins are in our division so I'll be a huge Steelers fan tonight. Now this is actually a game I'm going to watch very closely for a few reasons. One, I want to see if Kurt Cousins has improved at all from his first year as a starter. If he can take that next step, which I know he won't, that'll be very bad news for my Gmen if he does. The last thing we need is a good quarterback in the division to give us more headaches than we already give ourselves. Secondly, I want to see how system corner Josh Norman does against Antonio Brown. Like I said Norman was a system corner in Carolina and he benefited greatly from it, tonight he will be exposed for the mediocre defensive back that he is as AB cooks him for 150 yards and a pair of TD's. The last thing I'm going to watch for in this game is how the Pittsburgh Steelers defense looks. If they have as good of a defense as everyone is saying they will they're definitely the favorite in the AFC North. The thing is, the pass rush is old, and the secondary is inexperience. I really feel like they won't be all that impressive, but if they're as good as people are saying, they should be able to shut down a pedestrian Redskins offense no problem. I'm going to take Pittsburgh in a game that they will control for the most part, 31-17 will be the final. In game two of the the annual Monday Night double header to kick off the season the controversial 49ers will take on the 'Hard Knocks' Rams. This one will be a real snoozer, as two awful NFC West teams duke it out. All eyes will be on Colin Kaepernick pregame, as he will be the biggest headline of this game, I'm sure the broadcasters will be taking about him and the kneeling issue all night so I'll probably watch this one on mute. They game itself won't be providing much conversation due to the lack of talent so I guess I can't really blame them. We all know Blaine Gabbert and Case Keenum suck, we don't need Jon Gruden and Mike Tirico to tell us that. The only reason I'll be watching is to see two players, Todd Gurley and Aaron Donald. Frankly those will be the only two superstars in this game. Todd Gurley is not only fun to watch as he will torch this weak 49er defense, but he is also on my fantasy team so I need him to get me about 15 points for me to win. That's light work for my guy Gurley though so I ain't sweating it. Aaron Donald is just an unblockable freak on nature, expect the Niners to not be able to do anything in the run game unless it's to the outside. The future defensive player of the year will be making a statement in tonight's game. This game won't be pretty, but it will be a close one, Rams win in OT 23-20.
