Following the game 2 loss to the Bulls, Celtics point guard Isaiah Thomas received a phone call from Kobe Bryant. The Black Mamba had called IT4 to discuss the game film of the previous games. Kobe pointed out things about the other defense that Thomas said he would've never even thought of to look for. Thomas said Kobe is on a whole new level mentally, not surprising at all since he is one of the most fierce, dedicated, and detail oriented players to every take the court. Thomas credited Kobe for much of his play in recent games.
This doesn't surprise me whatsoever, Kobe was probably watching the game, saw a couple quick fixes for Isiah's game, called him up, and changed the outlook of the series. Pretty dope that Kobe was willing to do that, especially since IT4 is on the Celtics. Guess Kobe sees something special in Isaiah or I'm sure he wouldn't even have bothered. Crazy how Kobe is still effecting outcomes of NBA playoff games and he's not even in the league anymore.
Isaiah Thomas is definitely relaying the message to his teammates as well showing them what Kobe taught him. Everyone has been playing much better not just Isaiah, so that'd make a lot of sense. Probably makes Brad Stevens feel useless, but obviously Kobe knows more about basketball than basically everyone of earth. All Celtics fans can thank Kobe Bryant for the playoff success that there team is having.
